National Sub Junior Taekowondo Championship concludes

Ambala, Nov 14 (UNI) The three-day 24th National Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Taekowondo Championship concluded at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium here today.

Haryana Additional Director General of Police VN Rai distributed the prizes.

Taekowondo Federation of India president Harish Kumar said that aim of the federation was to enroll one million Taekowondo athletes in the coming years with a hope to win gold medals in Olympics 2008.

The results: Sub Junior Boys: Light heavy weight category- Gold-Mohammad Abrar Khan (Uttar Pradesh), Silver- Ravi Kant (Haryana), Bronze- S Minaketan Singh (Manipur) and Kundan Kumar (Bihar).

Sub Junior Girls: Ligh Heavy Weight Category-Gold-Kunzang Ongmu Bhutia (Sikkim), Silver-L Naobi Devi (Manipur), Bronze- Sanjna S Salve (Maharashtra) and Rishya P Murthy (Karnataka).
