Mulayam working for capitalists' cause
Etah, Uttar Pradesh, Nov 14 (UNI) Former prime minister and Jan Morcha leader V P Singh today castigated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav for threatening to stall Parliament proceedings on behalf of capitalists.
''Mr Yadav is fighting for the capitalists instead of espousing the cause of the poor,'' Mr Singh said addressing the Mukti Sangram Yatra here.
On Sunday, the ruling Samajwadi Party warned the Union government of stalling Parliament if the centre failed to provide gas to the Reliance Energy's power project in UP.
He claimed the situation was bad in the state and the government machinery was playing in the hands of capitalists.
''While, people are dying of hunger in Bundelkhand region, Mr Yadav is more worried about supplying gas to Anil Ambani's gas-based power project,'' the former PM added.
Morcha president and suspended SP leader Raj Babbar alleged the Chief Minister was using the state police force for vested interests with the help of mafias.
''A UP cabinet minister is openly making crores of rupees in PAC recruitment drive,'' the cinestar added.
Babbar claimed that he was touring all over the state to create awareness among the masses to dislodge the Mulayam government.
''It has become necessary to expose the state dispensation, since the assembly polls are near,'' he explained.
