MoU to strengthen rural credit structure in Rajasthan signed

Jaipur, Nov 14 (UNI) NABARD and the Rajasthan government today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen rural cooperative credit structure and to expand cooperative facilities.

The MoU would also include resource mobilisation, improved managerial efficiency, autonomy and development of human resources.

Mr Vinod Zutshi, secretary department cooperation, signed it on behalf of the government, while Mr S K Mitra, executive director, NABARD, was the other signatory.

The MoU is epxected to be milestone for short term crop credit institutions as this would help them survive in competition with the financial discipline.The MoU is a joint effort of central government, NABARD and state government for strengthening cooperative credit structure.
