Mizoram govt to implement uniform transfer policy
Aizawl, Nov 14: Mizoram government has taken an initiative to prepare a uniform transfer policy for the all employees of the state.
Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel told UNI here today, ''It has come to the notice of the government that there are employees, who have been in the same town or village, and not been affected by transfers for 30 years. The government is concerned over this since there is a rush for soft posting.'' He said all departments draw up guidelines for the transfer of employees working under them in order that no government servant is posted too long in a 'hard' or 'soft' posting.
Mr Hauzel said the state government never had had transfer guidelines before as a result of which some departments had faced problems in their postings.
''All the departments under the new guidelines would not categorise postings as hard, normal and soft and accordingly bring out transfer orders so that no single employee is placed in single posting for too long period,'' he added.
