Minister's name figures in the BPL list

Patna, Nov 14 (UNI) Bihar's Rural Development Minister Baidyanath Mahto, who reportedly owned a house and has vast agricultural land, is figured in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list, alleged the Opposition CPI.

The party has expressed concern over the manner in which BPL list was being prepared.

'' The inclusion of a prominent minister in the BPL list has exposed the real face of Sushasan in the NDA ministry,'' CPI leader Jabbar Alam said yesterday.

He also demanded the resignation of Mr Mahto on moral grounds and for misleading the masses.

Meanwhile, Mr Mahto has asked for a probe into the matter.
