Jailed district magistrate files bail petition

Patna, Nov 14 (UNI) Jailed Madhepura District Magistrate Hemchandra Jha today filed a bail petition before a Special Vigilance court here.

The petition would be heard on November 16.

Bihar State Vigilance Bureau has arrested the IAS officer on October 13 in an alleged corruption case.

According to the FIR, Bihar State Vigilance Bureau had recoverd Rs 1,90,200 from the possession of Mr Jha when coming to Patna from Madhepura on October 13.

The vigilance had registered a corruption case against Mr Jha and the latter was arrested on October 13. He was remanded to judicial custody since then.
