ICICI Bank allots Rs 1000 crore for biotech development in state

Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) On the occasion of Maharashtra Biotechnology Day, Maharashtra government and ICICI Bank today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here, as per which ICICI Bank will allot a sum of Rs 1,000 crore for investments in variuous biotech projects in the state.

The MoU was signed by the state secretary (Industries, Energy and Labour), Mr V K Jairath on behalf of the State Government and a top executive of ICICI Bank, Mr Ajay Choudhary during a day-long seminar on 'Bio Business' which was held jointly by the Maharashtra Government and the Confedaration of Indian Industries (CII) to mark the celebration of Maharashtra Biotechnology Day today.
