Haryana state games from Nov 19 at Kurukshetra

Chandigarh, Nov 14 (UNI) Haryana Olympic Association will organise the 21st State Games at Dronacharya Stadium, Kurukshetra from November 19 to 22.

Giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Association said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would inaugurate this sports event while state Governor A R Kidwai will be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony.

He informed that about 5000 sportspersons and technical officials are expected to participate in various competitions like archery, athletics,badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, cycling, football, handball, hockey, judo etc.

The state team for the National Games to be held at Guwahati in February next year would be selected after watching the performance of the atheletes at the state games.
