Five killed ten injured in accident at Beed

Beed Maharashtra Nov 14 (UNI) Five persons, including one women and a child, were killed on the spot and ten others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a tractor on the Telgaon-Majalgaon road about 50 km from here, today.

The incident occurred around 1415 hrs when the speeding jeep collided head-on with a sand loaded tractor, police said.

Out of the five deceased, three were identified as Ms Sindhubai Bhimrao Pawar (35), Eknath More (40) and Rutuja Pawar (6 months).

The remaining two bodies are yet to be identified, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Bapu Katakdaund told UNI here.

The ten injured including the driver of the jeep have been admitted to the rural hospital at Majalgaon.

The Majalgaon police have registered a case against the driver, police said.
