Evening court inaugurated in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Nov 14 (UNI) Chief Justice of India Y K Sabharwal and Chief Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated an ''evening court'' that will settle cases pertaining to prohibition, gambling, accidents and petty offences.

Mr Modi said that this was his government's third achievement in a week's time. He cited ''Jyotirgam'' and ''Chiranjeevi'' Yojanas as his other two achievements.

Earlier an ''evening court'' was inaugurated in Rajkot at the new fast track court building at 1830 hrs. Those present on the occasion were district judge R P Dholaria, Rajya Sabha MP Vijaybhai Rupani, Rajkot Mayor Dhansukh Bhanderi and several advocates.

The court will operate from 1830 hrs to 2030 hrs.
