Cong leader booked for pulling truck driver's beard

Hisar, Nov 14 (UNI) Police today registered a case against a Congress leader of Hansi town in the district on the charge of pulling the beard of a truck driver after a minor collision with his car.

The Hansi police registered a case under sections 295 and 295 A against Kapoor Singh Punia who allegedly pulled the beard of Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Ludhiana district of Punjab, whose truck had a brush with Punia's car last night. Punia also allegedly beat him up.

Meanwhile, the workers of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) staged a demonstration and sat on a dharna in front of the Hansi police station to protest against the incident.
