BJP criticises lathi charge on the visually challenged
Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today criticised the State Government for lathicharge on the visually challenged when they were demonstrating here yesterday.
In a press note issued here today, Mr Gadkari alleged that the state government has always ignored the welfare of the blind people and added that in this country there are 2.34 crore differently-abled, as per the census of 2001, out of which fifty per cent are visually-impaired.
He urged the government to consider their demands more sympathetically.
