Arunachal is an integral part of India: Pranab

New Delhi, Nov 14: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today rejected China's claim over Arunchal Pradesh, saying the North-Eastern state was an integral part of India.

"Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India," he said in an obvious reaction to Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Yuxi's statement yesterday in a television interview that Arunachal Pradesh was part of the Chinese territory.

The Chinese envoy's statement came days ahead of President Hu Jintao's State visit to India from November 20-23.

Mr Mukherjee declined to say anything more on the issue.
