APCF demands adequate infrastructure for colleges
Itanagar, Nov 14 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Colleges' Forum (APCF) has asked the state government to provide basic infrastructural and other facilities to the colleges.
Describing the plight of students and staff of the colleges at Tirap and Changlang districts of the state as pathetic, the APCF alleged that all these colleges were running without hostels, lecturer's quarters and classrooms.
The APCF, which had carried out an infrastructure survey cum educational tour of both the districts recently, further claimed that the Rangfrah College at Changlang district and the Tirap College at Deomali were being managed through donations from the locality since their inception.
''The existing infrastructure of the colleges were also donated by the local people and if the government continues to remain silent on the fate of the institutions, they may be on the verge of closure soon,'' the forum pointed out.
The APCF further alleged that all requests made for providing basic infrastructure to these colleges have fallen on deaf ears of the authorities concerned.
