3 soldiers missing after heavy snowfall, rescue teams rushed
Srinagar, Nov 14 (UNI) Three Army personnel were missing after the upper reaches in the north Kashmir experienced heavy snowfall resulting in the closure of several roads to far off places, official sources said.
A defence ministry spokesman told UNI here that three soldiers went missing in Machil sector after they were caught in heavy snowfall.
He said a team from High Altitude School has been rushed to Machil sector to rescue the soldiers.
The team is assisted by a trained dog squad, he added.
Sources said the entire upper belt in the twin border districts of Baramulla and Kupwara experienced heavy snowfall for two days on November 12 and 13.
