3 security personnel among six injured in north Kashmir blast
Baramulla, Nov 14 (UNI) At least six persons, including three security personnel, were injured in a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on the Srinagar-Uri highway this afternoon, official sources said.
They said militants triggered a powerful IED, targeting a security force convoy at Khanpora on the highway this afternoon at 1400 hours.
Sources said two security and a civil passenger vehicles were damaged in the blast.
Initial reports said that three security personnel and an equal number of civilians were injured.
The blast was so powerful that its sound was heard in the five km area.
Sources said the entire areas has been cordoned off and a massive hunt has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast.
Senior security force, police and civil officers have rushed to the spot.
