Temperature drops to 30 degree C in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Slightly misty conditions prevailed in Delhi today, a development weathermen attributed to a fresh wave of Western disturbance, even as a fall in mercury in the Capital brought the people some relief from humid weather conditions.

The Western disturbance, which has led to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir in the last two days, today led to a drop in maximum temperature in the capital to 30 Degree Celsius in the day.

The Weatherman said under the influence of the Western isturbance, scattered precipitation was likely to continue over Jammu&Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Isolated rainfall was also likely to occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, they said.

Under its influence, the night temperatures over Northwest India could witness a fall in the next two days.

Infact, the weather office have forecast that foggy conditions could continue in the capital during the next 24 hours though the sky would remain largely clear.

They have also forecast a drop in maximum and minimum temperature during the next few days.

So while the maximum temperature could drop to 29 degree C on Thursday, the minimum could drop to 15 degree C tomorrow and further to 14 degree C on Thursday.

Despite the post-Diwali period marking the start of Winter, the capital has, over the last week, witnessed a rising trend in mercury. The rising mercury, coupled with high humidity levels, have led to slighly humid conditions during the day.
