Tell Pak terror and talks can't go hand in hand: BJP
New Delhi, Nov 13: Taking note of the FBI alert to India on the need to strengthen its airport security in view of the threats posed by terrorist organisations, the BJP today said the world was now increasingly realising the BJP's view that Pakistan was the epicentre of terror in Asia.
"We should tell Pakistan in uncertain terms that terrorism and talks don't go together," BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said ahead of the forthcoming Indo-Pak Foreign Secretary level talks in Delhi.
He said the BJP wanted the government to hear and adhere to the views expressed by the three defence Chiefs on Pakistan's demand to demilitarise Siachin, the world's highest battlefield.
Welcoming the need to beef up the security measures to take care of the changing needs, Mr Javadekar said even former U S President Bill Clinton was expressing regret about providing Pakistan with fighter aircraft during his tenure.
He now feels that, it would have been better for him to have given the same money for the education sector in Pakistan to produce more engineers and doctors rather than giving them aircraft to indulge in war-mongering, MR Javadekar claimed.
