Sonia to decide on new PCC president: Dasmunsi

Kolkata, Nov 13 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today said congress president Sonia Gandhi will soon decide on the name of the new Pradesh party president in West Bengal.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Mr Dasmunsi said AICC and state leadership would have to obey Mrs Gandhi's decision on the matter.

To a question, Mr Dasmunisi said, ''Names of several leaders have come up including former president Somen Mitra, working president Pradip Bhattacharjee, Subrata Mukherjee and my name. Now the party chairperson will decide it.'' He also said the AICC would decide whether a Congress candidate would contest from Islampur or not.
