Punjab struggles at 192 for 7 Vs Mumbai
Jamshedpur, Nov 13 (UNI) Despite a fine 74 by opener Sunny Sohal, Punjab were tottering at 192 for seven against Mumbai on the opening day of the three-day Elite group A Cooch Behar Trophy at the Keenan stadium here today.
Mumbai won the toss and sent Punjab in, which paid dividends as apart from Sunny other Punjab top order batsmen fell cheaply before a fine medium pace bowling of Dhaval Kulkarni, who returned with three for 50.
In the lower order, Sarabjeet Singh made a useful knock of 38 while Taruwar Kohli remained unbeaten on 40 with the help of four boundaries. Sumit Kalia remained not out on one at the other end.
Iqbal Abdulla was the other successful bowler for Mumbai scalping two wickets for 36 runs.
