Proteas planning 'good' tracks against India

Johannesburg, Nov 13 (UNI) The South Africans were left red in the face by the pitches in India during the Champions Trophy and they are planning to greet Rahul Dravid's men with some 'good wickets' of their own in the ODI series starting November 19.

Proteas coach Mickey Arthur said the South Africans will be discussing the pitch preparations for the upcoming series and promised to make sure that the tracks were 'good'.

''All we want are good wickets. For the Test matches, they will be different, of course. We'll get together to discuss it,'' Arthur was quoted by 'News24' as saying here.

The Indians, who will be landing here tomorrow, will play a warm-up game against a Rest of South Africa side on Thursday before taking on Graeme Smith's men in a five-match ODI series.

The South Africans will also arrive here on Thursday for net sessions and for discussing their strategies. Cricket South Africa has retained the squad which played in the Champions Trophy for this series.

The Proteas are reportedly concentrating on plans to counter the threat posed by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and will be analysing the video footages of his previous innings to chalk out their strategy.
