Political polarisation in the offing: Deve Gowda
Mysore, Nov 13: Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) Supremo H D Deve Gowda today said that Polarisation is in the offing in the country and it can take place within next three to four month time.
Launching campaign for December four by election to Chamundeswari Assembly seat, at Yeraganahalli village in the outskirts of the City, he said that whatever may be the thinking of others on the issue the situation has warranted polarisation and there was all indication in this regard.
Mr Gowda, addressing party workers, challenged that he would retire from political life if any political party or state government proves to have taken a massive people oriented programmes as taken by the JD(S)-BJP coalition government in the State.
He said that the Congress party, which has been accusing the Coalition government, should set right its house first. Congress suffering defeat in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar where Bhahujana Samaj Party and Samajawadi party have emerged victories in the recent local body elections.
Coming down heavily on those who criticised Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's village stay, Mr Gowda asked why such initiative was not taken since last 58 years by any party.
