Pak Foreign Sec to meet Hurriyat delegation tomorrow evening

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) A moderate Hurriyat Conference-delegation will meet visiting Pakistan Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammed Khan, who is here for talks with his Indian counterpart Shiv Shankar Menon, tomorrow evening.

The Hurriyat delegation at the meeting, to be held at the Pakistan House, will comprise Prof Abdul Ghani Bhat, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Bilal Ghani Lone and Aga Syed Hassan, a Hurriyat spokesperson said.

Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, who is at present attending the 56th Pugwash Conference on Science and World Affairs in Cairo, is expected to arrive tomorrow morning.

''If the Mirwaiz makes it in time he will join the delegation.

Otherwise Prof Bhat will be the head of the Hurriyat team for talks with Mr Khan,'' he said.

The Foreign Secretaries of the two countries are meeting here from November 14 to 15, marking the resumption of the composite dialogue process, which had been stalled after the Mumbai bomb blasts on July 11 this year. They will hold discussions on various issues, including Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesman said Mr Khan, who will arrive here later today, had expressed a desire to meet the Kashmir separatist leaders during his India visit.

''We (moderate Hurriyat leaders) have been invited for a meeting with Pakistan's Foreign Secretary,'' he added.
