NetApp launches 'FAS3070' and 'V3070'

Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) Network Appliance (NetApp) today extended its data centre portfolio with the addition of its new mid-range platforms which includes 'FAS3070', 'V3070' series, 'Fiber Channel (FC)' and storage area network (SAN) for making the enterprise data centre management easier.

Briefing the media here today Managing Director of the company Soumitra Agarwal said, ''Today's introductions highlight our comprehensive solution for our customers' data centres that offer the best performance for mid-range SAN, enabling the most flexiblity to adopt to business change, the highest availability of application data and the highest productivity for IT administrators and assets.'' From the 'FAS3070' and 'V3070' to our extensive refresh of the NetApp Manageability Software Family, we have poured tremendous innovation into these products, making sure that they deliver the highest performance and application uptime at an attractive price, he added.

The National Sales Manager of the company, Surajit Sen, said that the newly launched products are useful for sectors like telecom, energy digital animation and banking and finance. He added that from the present USD 2.1 billion company we are looking ahead to become USD five company within next three years. Some of the customers that are already using the company's products in the country include Kotak Bank, ICICI Bank, NSE (National Stock Exchange) and others. Of late, the California-based firm has acquired company Topio which has further intensified its position in the field. Now the company is looking at the launch of some of its parallel poroducts relating to data management but not exactly data storage, Mr Sen said.
