Minister pays tribute to Swamigal

Puducherry, Nov 13: Puducherry Education Minister M O H F Shajahan today paid floral tributes to Sankardas 'Swamigal', the father of Tamil theatre, on his 84th death anniversary at his Samadhi at Karuvadikuppam near here.

Legislators and various Tamil scholars also paid tributes.

Volunteers of Puducherry art and literature forum, drama artists and Tamil scholars took out a procession from Vedapureeswarar temple carrying the decorated portrait of the swamigal to pay homage to him.
