Kuwait plane enters no-fly zone in Delhi
New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) A Kuwait Airways plane took a left turn instead of right while taking off today and headed to the no-fly zone in capital.
The aircraft had just taken off from runway 01. It was flying from Delhi to Kuwait.
An air traffic controller said the pilot made an error but the incident does not appear to be a major one.
Still, an enquiry has been ordered into the matter. Cabinet secretary B K Chaturvedi will meet the National Crises Management Committee in the next few days to review the breach of security.
Civil aviation minister Praful Patel told reporters that no security breach will be taken lightly. The incident will be probed and details put forth in coming days.
Officials at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) held a meeting to discuss the incident.
