HM militant surrenders in Doda

Jammu, Nov 13: An active Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant today surrendered before security forces in Gandoh area of district Doda, senior police official said.

HM militant Muzaffar Hussain, alias Zahid Kamran, of village Sarila had surrendered along with a sniper rifle, one magazine, 11 rounds and other indiscriminating material, Doda Senior Superintendent of Police Manohar Singh said.

This was made possible after persuading parents and close relatives of the militant through several meetings with police, he added.
