GoM meet on PSEs autonomy rescheduled for Nov 27

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) The meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM), which was to decide today on giving more financial and functional autonomy to public sector enterprises (PSEs), has been postponed and will now be held on November 27.

''The meeting has been postponed and is now scheduled for November 27,'' official sources said.

The meeting was to discuss the recommendations of an ad hoc committee of group of experts headed by Dr Arjun Sengupta.

Some of the committee's recommendations pertaining to giving financial and functional autonomy to navratna, mini-navratna and other profit-making PSEs had already been implemented.

The committee was set up to advise the government on issues of autonomy, audit, vigilance and accountability of the PSEs.
