Four, including woman, arrested for human trafficking; 2 rescued
New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Busting one of the inter-state gangs involved in human trafficking in the Capital, police arrested four people, including a woman, and rescued two kidnapped girls.
Accused Ramesh Kumar (25), Satbir Singh (32) and Sandhya Alias Sita (48) were arrested along with a buyer Pritam Singh (60) from Roorkee (Uttaranchal) yesterday in a raid following a tip-off, police said today.
Two girls kidnapped by the accused were also recovered in the operation.
Investigations revealed that the gang would lure girls and women from railway stations and bus depots who were either alone or looked lost. They would them sell them on the pretext of getting them a job or getting them married.
The gang had sold six girls hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar nad Jharkhand.
