Deep Industries signs contract for exploring methane blocks

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Deep Industries Ltd will explore coal bed methane (CBM) at Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, and Godavari Valley.

The company has signed a contract to this effect with the government under Round-III of the bids.

The exploration will be carried out on the two blocks in partnership with US-based Coal Gas Mart.

CBM block at Singrauli covers an area of 330 sq km and is estimated to contain 31 billion cubic meters (BCM) of gas and the one in the Godavari valley has 29.65 BCM of gas spread over an area of 386 sq km.

The company had earlier received orders worth Rs 16.5 crore from state-owned oil and gas major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for rig and compression services over the period of two years.
