Decision on consensus candidate tomorrow: Kumaraswamy
Bangalore, Nov 13 (UNI) A decision on fielding a common candidate of the coalition partners in Karnataka, JD(S) and BJP, to fight the December four byelection to the Chamundeshwari Assembly seat will be taken in tomorrow's Coordination Committee meeting of the two parties, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy informed today.
Speaking to newspersons here, the JD(S) leader indicated that a consensus candidate would be pitted against former Deputy Chief Minister and Congress candidate Siddaramaiah.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader B S Yediyurappa also said a decision in this regard would be taken in a couple of days.
The byelection was necessiated following Mr Siddaramaiah resigning the seat prior to joining the Congress from the JD(S).
