Bypolls: CM asks cabinet colleagues not to be complacent
Hyderabad, Nov 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked his cabinet colleagues entrusted with conducting here campaign for the byelection to Karimnagar and Bobbili Lok Sabha seats, to work for the party's victory with a huge margin.
He wanted his party colleagues not not to be over-confident and take care of every aspect of the poll management meticulously and ensure impressive victories for the party in the prestigious bypolls.
Meanwhile, official sources said in deference to wishes of the Vaddera community, The State Cabinet approved the formation of a Cooperatives federation to improve their lot.
In the wake of the Beedi workers stir against the directive to put symbols of skull and bones on beedi packets, the Chief Minister took up the matter with Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandez and Union Health Minister S Ramadoss.
A statutory warning similar to 'Cigarette smoking is injurious to health' would suffice, Dr Reddy told the Union Ministers and wanted them to address the concerns of the Beedi Workers, they added.
