AP govt announces Rs.7 lakh exgratia

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced an exgratia of Rs.7 lakh to the next of kin of the four miners who were killed in the roof collapse in a Singareni Collieries mine yesterday.

Mr Reddy, who was here to meet the bereaved families, told mediapersons that the state government would also provide employment to one eligible person in the family of each victim in addition to financial assistance.

Stating that the government would conduct an enquiry into the incident, he said criminal action would be taken against those responsible if it was found that the mishap was due to human error.
