Afghan, Singapore, Czech envoys present credentials
New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Afghan Ambassador Sayed Makhdoom Raheen and Singapore High Commissioner Calvin Eu Mun Hoo were among the five new envoys who presented their credentials to President APJ Abdul Kalam here today.
The others were Czech Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek and High Commissioners Dorcas Ana Kgosietsile from Botswana and Mpumelelo Joseph Ndumiso Hlophe from Swaziland.
After the credentials presentation ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President had an interaction with the Heads of Missions.
Dr Kalam called for developing joint projects and programmes involving India and their respective nations, based on the core competencies as it would result in a win-win proposition.
The bilateral trade betwen India and these nations should increase from the present levels, the President said.
The ceremony was attended by senior members of the missions and senior officials of the External Affairs Ministry and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
