Two women pilgrims killed in road mishap

Hubli, Nov 12 (UNI) Two women pilgrims were killed on the spot and eight others injured when a van in which they were travelling collided head on with a manganese-laden lorry near Halligudi-Harlapur bridge, about 25 km from here.

Police said the victims were on their way to Kuknur Mahammayi temple from Dharwad when the mishap occurred yesterday.

All the injured were admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, where the condition of four was stated to be serious.
