Retired judge will probe into Khairlanjee massacre: R R Patil
Kolhapur, Nov 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today said that a retired Judge will probe the Khairlanjee massacre incident.
Talking to reporters at Ujalaiwadi aerodrome near here, Mr Patil, who holds Home portfolio, said the State government has decided to conduct an inquiry into the incident by a retired judge and stated that the government was also ready to conduct a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Mr Patil reiterated that Naxalites tried to attack police during Khairlanjee incident protest march as per information available with police.
Meanwhile, he said the Nationalist Congress Party will win maximum number of seats in the Municipal Council Election which is scheduled for November 19 in Maharashtra.
Mr Patil was here to attend the marriage of Maharashtra Minister of State for School Education Hassan Mushrif's son at Kagal tehsil town.
