Prisoner flees from court premises

Howrah, Nov 12 (UNI) A prisoner has fled from the Howrah court premises when he was brought for hearing, Howrah Superintendent of Police Niraj Kumar Singh said.

Mr Singh yesterday said the prisoner who was arrested in connection with a theft case, fled from the court premises on friday.

A sub-inspector and a constable had been suspended in this connection, he added.

Another case has been registered against the prisoner.
