Piaggio to launch gas-run three-wheeler in India soon

Tirupati, Nov 12 (UNI) Three-wheeler manufacturing major Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited (PVPL) will launch gas-run three-wheeler passenger vehicle within three months, according to PVPL Director (Sales) Ashutosh Khosla.

Talking to UNI here today, Mr Khosla said the company had set a target turnover of Rs 1500 crore for this fiscal.

In Indian market, PVPL was currently the market leader in three-wheeler diesel category.

He said the company had a production capacity of over 1,50,000 vehicles per annum.

It exports vehicles to many countries including Argentina, Peru, Sudan, Turkey, SriLanka, Mexico, South Africa, Cuba and Bangladesh.

Mr Khosla said the company would increase its sales and service centres in India this year.

At present, it had 400 sales and service dealer networks across the country, he added.
