Netgear Technologies to invest more in manpower devp in India

New Delhi, Nov 12 (UNI) To expand its market share in India, Netgear Technologies has said it will further invest in manpower development and will open office in Mumbai and then move beyond metros.

The 565-million-dollar subsidiary of the US-based Netgear Inc also plans to unveil a number of India-specific products targeted at the domestic customers.

''We are expanding our team to address various industry verticals such as education, banking and insurance, financial institutions, government sector and public sector undertakings to further enhance our market share in the country,'' Netgear Inc Chairman and CEO Patrick Lo said.

NetGear Technologies Country Manager (India and SAARC region) Atul Jain said the company will move beyond metropolitan markets and aims for more than 100 per cent growth in the remaining part of this financial year.

Netgear Inc Senior VP (worldwide sales and support) David Soares added ''Apart from a number of new product releases, we are also strenghthening our technical support help line toll free number by adding more technical staff to add more muscles to our customer care services.'' The new products are higher-end gigabit stackable switches, powerline products for home and small and medium businesses (SMBs), draft 802. Eleven wireless products for home and SMBs, SSL VPN products for SMBs are also in the pipeline, he said.

Netgear designs, develops and markets technologically advanced, branded networking products that address the specific needs of SMBs and home users.
