Lebanon PM Siniora rejects Shi'ite resignations

BEIRUT, Nov 11 (Reuters) Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora rejected today the resignation of his cabinet's Shi'ite Muslim ministers, his office said in a statement.

A senior political source close to Hezbollah told Reuters the ministers would stick to their resignations.

''This changes nothing,'' the source said.

The five Shi'ite ministers from Hezbollah and its ally, the Amal movement, resigned after the collapse earlier today of all-party talks on giving their camp more say in government.

''The prime ministers announces the following: ... His rejection of the resignation of fellow ministers representing Amal and Hezbollah ... and declares his strong desire for them to continue there effective participation in the government,'' Siniora's statement said.
