Former AIADMK minister joins DMDK

Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) Former AIADMK Minister Prof K Ponnusamy today joined the Desiya Dravida Murpokku Kazhagam (DMDK).

Along with his supporters, Mr Ponnusamy met DMDK founder and actor Vijayakanth at the DMDK headquarters and formally joined the party.

Mr Ponnusamy presented a life size bronze statue of late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran to Mr Vijayakanth and asked him to install the statue whereever the actor-cum-politician desired.

Others, who joined the DMDK were former AIADMK MLAs Jagadeesan of Aravakkurichi and Dharmalingam of Palayamkottai, Karur District AIADMK treasurer Bank Subramanian and workers from various political parties, including the DMK and Congress.
