AIMF protests acquisition of land in Bardhaman

Kolkata, Nov 12 (UNI) The All India Minority Forum (AIMF) today protested against the acquisition of land for a commercial project in Goda mouza in Bardhaman district.

The Forum alleged that around 300 acre of agricultural land was being taken over in the western side of G T Road for a proposed satellite city.

AIMF president Idris Ali and zilla president Shiekh Yakub Hussain alleged that proper compensation was not being paid to the ''displaced'' farmers.

The Forum alleged that despite several representations before the government, the acquisition was being carried on.
