ULFA militant shot dead in encounter

Guwahati, Nov 11 (UNI) An ULFA militant was killed in an encounter with security forces near a tea garden in Tinsukia district today.

Police said the encounter between the rebels and the 2nd Bihar regiment took place in Hukanpukhuri tea garden of the district at 1410 hours.

ULFA cadre Thulanta Gohain was killed in the encounter, the sources added.
