TCL reshuffles, appoints Richie Liu as CMD

New Delhi, Nov 11: With a view to improving the company's structure and better decision-making, TCL India Holdings Pvt Ltd has made changes in senior management.

''After thorough analysis, we feel that this change in the senior management will help us speed decision making and focus on key strategic issues, to expand our operations and strengthen our presence in India,'' TCL Corporation Chairman and CEO Li Dongsheng said.

As per the management changes, Former Managing Director Richie Liu will now be the Chairman and Managing Director, while Mr C M Singh, VP-Sales and Marketing will take on as the new Chief Executive Officer, a company statement said here yesterday.

With over 10 years of experience, Mr Liu is one of the key persons to start TCL Vietnam and Indonesia operations.

''My focus will be to consolidate TCL's global leadership position, offer a diversified high-quality product range from basic to high-end innovative products, and address all key markets competitively. We plan to make TCL the new favourite brand in all Indian households,'' Mr Singh said.

Mr Singh has over 17 years of experience. He was the key person in making LG the No. 1 Consumer Electronics Company in India.

TCL is a multinational with a presence in more than 100 countries and seven R&D centers in strategic locations.
