'Ram temple to be constructed from Garibgarh'

Allahabad, Nov 11: Vishwa Hindu Parishad working president Ashok Singhal has reiterated that the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya would be started from "Garbhgrih" (birth place of Lord Ram) and work would be completed with with the cooperation of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Nyas and saints.

Talking to newspersoons here last evening, Mr Singhal said the construction of any mosque in the '' Sanskritik Seema'' of Ayodhya or the construction of any mosque in the name of '' Babari Masjid '' would not be allowed in any part of the country.

He said Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Dwarikapeeth Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati had no role in Ram Janam Bhoomi movement. He alleged that the Swami was hatching a conspiracy to divide saints and delay the construction of the temple. He said Ramanand Sampraday was the main partner of the construction of the temple and it had full right to take any decision.

He said more than Rs eight crore has been collected with the assistance of six crore people and the stone work has been completed. The work of the temple would be completed with the money which has been collected with the assistance of people. He said some people who were talking about the '' Parikrama'' of makeshift temple on November 30 next would be opposed by the saints. He said their aim was to delay the construction work of the temple.

Mr Singhal said ''Sankalp Diwas'' would be held at Ayodhya on November 19 next in which three thousand saints and 25 to 30 thousand people from different parts of the country would participate.

He said the third Vishwa Hindu Sammelan would be held on the banks of Ganga river at Allahabad during ''ardhkumbh mela'' from February 11 to 13 next year in which representatives from 1,00,000 villages of the country would participate. Besides 100 delegates from various other countries of the world will also participate.
