Notorious criminal arrested

Chhatarpur, MP, Nov 11 (UNI) A notorious criminal was today arrested and two pistols, countrymade gun and five cartridges seized from him, police said.

In an official release, Superintendent of Police Chanchal Shekhar said police had received information that Uttar Pradesh's Banda-resident Faiyaz Ahmed was involved in trade of pistols in Malwanchal and Bundelkhand regions.

On a tip-off that he was abroad Indore-Chhatarpur bus, police laid a cordon and arrested him from the bus.

Investigation were being carried out and a police team had been dispatched to Indore in this connection.
