Mulayam to distribute KVD cheques on Nov 16

Varanasi, Nov 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will distribute a sum of Rs 31 crore among 37,000 beneficiaries, of the Kanya Vidya Dhan (KVD) and unemployment allowance scheme, hailing from Varanasi and Chandauli districts here on November 16.

''A grand pandal is being erected in the Babatpur area, which also houses the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport and it is also being ensured that the function does not endanger security at the sensitive spots, District Magistrate Rajiv Agrawal told newspersons here today.

Mr Agrawal said except for the beneficiaries of the twin schemes, no other person including the ruling Samajwadi Party workers, would be allowed an entry into the venue.
