Eight naxals surrender in AP

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 11 (UNI) Eight naxals of various banned revolutionary groups today surrendered in the presence of District Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra.

The surrendered cadres were three Maoists, one 'Praja Prathighatana', one 'Praja Prathighatana-Godavari Valley', two 'Prathighatana' and one deputy commander of 'New Democracy'.

Speaking to newspersons here, Dr Soumya said four of the surrendered cadres had confessed that they joined the extremist groups during the 'Peace Talks' initiated by the government with the naxals in 2004.
