Patna, Nov11 (UNI) The Bihar Congress today accused the state government for adopting "double standards" in connection with the suppression of facts in the affidavits filed by political leaders during assembly elections.

Chief spokesman of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) Prem Chandra Mishra said state Chief Electoral Officer had initiated action against Lakhisarai RJD MLA Phulena Singh for providing distorted information in the affidavit during filing the nomination paper.

State Chief Electoral Officer, however, was "silent" on similar charges against Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Yadav, which was brought to its notice by the Congress on August 3.

''Warrant of arrest against Mr Singh has been issued by a Lakhisarai court following a case registered against him by the state Electoral Officer where Mr Yadav, who won from Supaul, is moving scot free,'' he added.
