4 history-sheeters arrested

Sultanpur, Nov 11 (UNI) Four history-sheeters were arrested for manufacturing arms illegally in separate incidents here last night, police today said.

Acting on a tip-off, cops conducted a raid in Makdoompur village and arrested three notorious criminals Vikram Singh, Ramkalp Vishvakarma and Mohd. Zaki, when they were illegally manufacturing arms in a factory.

Four pistols, two cartridges and high quantity of explosives were recovered from their possession.

As many as 11 cases were pending against Vikram in Barabanki and Rae Bareily districts. A court has sentenced life imprisonment to the murder accused Mohd. Zaki, who is on bail nowadays. Ramkalp was also arrested in 1998 for illegally running an arm maufacturing factory.

In a separate incident, another miscreant Sityi Soni was nabbed under Munshiganj police station area. Three cartridges and few arm making machinery were recovered from his possession.
